My name is Pilar, I'm 30 years old and from Bariloche, a small town in the stunning Argentinean Patagonia.
Since 2017, I’ve been exploring the world, visiting 40+ countries (most of them backpacking on my own) and living in different corners of the globe. My travels have taken me across Latin America, Oceania, Europe, Asia, and even a bit of the Middle East, leading me to incredible places, people, and experiences. I’ve lived in Mexico for almost a year, in Australia for two, and have worked as a crew member on yachts cruising around the Mediterranean and Caribbean seas.
During my first year abroad I met a vegan traveler whose perspective completely changed how I saw things, and not long after, I went vegan myself. It was one of those unexpected travel moments that ended up transforming my life and the way I explore the world...

Through it all, I’ve learned how to plan trips masterfully, making every experience unforgettable. Going vegan added a whole new layer to that... I became a pro at researching, planning ahead, and finding places that aligned with my values. Now I’m here to share those lessons with you through Wildera, my little corner of the internet where I help you plan incredible adventures and make the most of every moment!
My mission is to make your trips easier, more ethical and memorable by giving you all the essentials you need to start making your dream travels a reality.

I’ve been vegan for seven years now, and my journey toward becoming a more ethical and mindful traveler has completely shaped the way I experience the world. You’ll notice that all my food recommendations here are plant-based, and I only recommend tours and experiences that align with my values (so no zoos or animal rides here, only nature-focused, sustainable experiences).
I’m creating the kind of resources I once needed when I first went vegan, to help new vegans (and plant-curious people) travel with ease and confidence. If you’re not vegan yet, you’ll still discover amazing local flavors and authentic dishes following my tips, just in an animal-friendly way.
Give it a try!

Traveling has taught me that life is too short to not capture every moment. For this reason, I’ve gotten into journaling and snapping photos of the little "ordinary" moments that make life extraordinary. Especially as a vegan navigating a non-vegan world, I’ve found that mindful tools like journaling are a beautiful way to reflect on our experiences and emotions while staying grounded on the road. I want to hold onto the good times and remember how the tough ones made me stronger, so I will also be sharing the practices and tools that have helped me stay grounded and feel at home, even when I’m far away.
I’m here to help you make your travel dreams a reality, and I’d love to hear from you! If you have any questions, want to share your travel stories, or tell me how my recommendations have worked for you, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always excited to connect and help however I can!
